Victoria Gallantree coaching philosophy
My Coaching principle is based on the belief that I inspire riders and offer the personal support they need to develop trust in me. I am passionate about horses and that motivates me to teach and coach riders across a variety of disciplines. I promote knowledge, understanding and confidence with the goal of producing a harmonious rider/horse partnership.
With my younger riders I encourage them to make decisions, develop life long riding skills and understand the way their pony thinks and learns. I actively encouraged they care for the welfare of their pony and the responsibility they have to ride with consideration as it produces the long term success for both of them.
I am a strong believer of a training process that includes both the horse and rider training separately, and as a combination, so that both have aims and goals. This means the goal is not always to win but also be focussed on more personal achievements, such as upgrading a horse/pony to a higher level of competition successfully.
I feel the depth of the relationship I have with my clients is of paramount importance and will remain respectful and take the responsibility seriously. It is a commitment that can be short or long term depending on the clients needs and I am aware that I can be working as a team member supporting a rider or maybe their only support.
I am an optimistic coach who likes to find positive areas out of any outcome. By listening to my riders I can adapt my coaching style to suit them and enhance their performance. I am a strong believer that continuous development means that I improve and can pass knowledge on to my clients. I understand that I am a role model and ensure that I am responsible and set a good example to my younger clients.
My principles ensures that every rider is of equal value regardless of their ability or aspirations and they will expect to be taught by a professional who works ethically and to the highest standards.
